I used to be SUPER uncomfortable with compliments. I didn’t trust that the person was being honest, other times I felt like I didn’t deserve it. I’ve also struggled with feeling like I need to give them a compliment back to take the attention off me….
It really helped me to practice acknowledging and accepting compliments. It’s a self-esteem exercise that pushed me to own my shit and acknowledge it out loud.
“Thank you, I really appreciate that.”
“Thanks, that is really nice of you.”
“Thanks for noticing, I worked really hard on it.”challenging at first, but these days I feel a lot more comfortable with it.
I can’t give it up, for someone else’s touch, cause I care too much

i will apologize if i do/say shitty things when i’m down, but I will never apologize for the feeling itself. i aint about to feel bad for feeling bad. not sorry.
your feelings are valid and it’s OK to feel whatever you will. feelings are part of being human, don’t apologize for them.
